
ShareSMGHL Clamps Down after Nov 26 Brawl

3 players have been suspended as a result of fighting majors handed out in an SMGHL game on November 26. The incident comes only a few weeks after the league revisited and clarified its position with on-ice behaviour and the consequences of non-compliance.
SMGHL President Danny Sanford was clear in his message to all teams. "The players involved have been banned from league play until November 26, 2012, at which time they are eligible to apply for reinstatement. The recent incidents this year are unfortunate but are being dealt with harshly so they do not happen in the future. We want to reinforce our position that this league continues to be competitive but safe for all to play. Zero-tolerance is where we draw the line." Enough said ...
