PC Medic Predators defeated Molson Cold Shots 2-0 on Saturday to win their second straight SMGHL title. In Division 2, Bud Light Lightening beat Beacon 6-2 to claim bragging rights.
PC followed their first overall regular season standing by avenging an earlier 6-0 loss to Molson in the playoff round robin. The teams played scoreless hockey until the 12:20 mark of the second period when Rod Whyte scored what proved to be the winner. They added a second goal after Molson took a sloppy too many men penalty with under 5 minutes left in the game.
In Division 2, Bud built an early 3-0 lead before holding off Beacon.
